Description
Designed and manufactured in the UK, our “h” profile strip brush can be easily mounted to an array of surfaces.
Each brush features:
- 1000mm long HDPE extruded brush back.
- “h” profile face of 20 x 20 x 10 x 15 x 10 x 35 mm.
- 2 rows of 50mm long, stiff yellow bristles which will not lose performance when submerged.
- Corrosion-resistant staple wire holding the bristle tuft in place.
- 100% British-made.
By filling our brushes into HDPE brush backs, our brushes are flexible and can be easily cut to size without weakening the hold of the remaining bristle.
Strip Brush Applications
It is most commonly water, salt water, sewage or slurry which a brush encounters and is corrosive to the components of the brush. For resistance against particular chemical compositions, please get in touch and we can advise as best we can.
The two parts of the brush which are affected by wetness and corrosion are the staple holding the tuft in place, and the bristle strength itself.
Wetness and corrosive substances will prematurely corrode the staple holding the bristle in place causing the tuft to fall out. This strip brush is manufactured with corrosion-resistant staples allowing this brush to be used in environments with these conditions present without premature degradation.
If the bristle on a normal brush becomes saturated it will become significantly softer, but the bristle used in this strip brush has extremely low moisture absorption, and so will maintain its ultra-stiff brush face even when fully submerged.
These properties make this strip brush ideal for working areas such as effluent and wastewater operations, marine areas, or water screening applications.
